i am thinking converting diylilcnc to 4d printer with an extruder unit. but i need some tips to increase the range of z cart , if we forget the limitation of dremel tool we use what is total range of zcard

The basic range of Z is about 2″. To extrude past that depth, you may need to redesign the entire Z cart (as opposed to just sticking an extruder to the front of the sled).

Many 3D printers have beds that drop down as printing material is deposited–the DIYLILCNC could be adapted to have the 4th axis be a table height control motor. The extruder could be controlled with a serial connection, much like a coolant attachment, to just be on or off.
