Is there any chance when a "new topic" or a reply to a topic is posted that you can subscribe to it and it will email you etc? I saw something about "RSS feed" but i have no clue what that is lol.. Let me know! Thanks.

@DIYengineer... RSS is great! Each forum, as well as individual topics, sends out a list of its activity that you can subscribe to. It's how I check the forums, and it's handy since you can see activity without having to log in. See the link above for how you can access the feeds.
As for emailing, that's not a default feature of the forum software we're using, however when I get a moment I'll look into it.
