Today i called a few local shops. One shop said his machine could accommodate a 4'x8' sheet and cut up to 1/4" acrylic. I asked him about the "masonite/MDF" and he said he didn't think his machine could cut it, although he has never tried too. He said he cuts 1/4" acrylic all the time though. What are your thoughts? Is 1/4" acrylic to fragile for this project? I want to do it right the first time around and not cut corners. I saw the first one made of acrylic and it looked beautiful, but since acrylic is so fragile and chips ... Let me know, I would rather find another laser shop then cut corners!
